Terms of service
A draft, being finalised with our solicitor. The version in force will carry its date here.
In short
- You pay for the people on your plan; contractors, clients, requesters and viewers are free.
- Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Nothing is deleted if you stop paying.
- Your data stays yours, and you can export it at any time, free.
- Athena never issues permits, signs isolations, approves safety documents, closes incidents or approves payments. Those stay with your people.
Who these terms are between
These terms are between [company name], registered at [registered address] with company number [number] (“we”), and the organisation that signs up (“you”).
Your account
You are responsible for who you invite and what their role allows them to do. Keep sign-in details safe and tell us at once if you think an account has been misused.
Plans and payment
Prices are those published on our pricing page when you subscribe. Monthly plans renew each month; annual plans renew each year. We send renewal notices 60 and 14 days before an annual renewal.
Price changes
Your price is fixed for the period stated on the pricing page. After that we may change it at most once a year, with 60 days’ notice.
Cancelling
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time. If you stop paying, your organisation drops to Free and nothing is deleted.
Your data
You own the data you put in. We use it only to provide the service to you, as described in our privacy notice. You can export everything at any time, free.
What Athena does and does not do
Athena plans, schedules, drafts and records. She cannot issue or cancel permits, sign isolations, approve safety documents, close incidents or approve payments. You remain responsible for your legal duties and for decisions made by your people.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to harm others, or to try to get into data that is not yours.
Our responsibility
[To be drafted with legal advice: service levels, limits of liability and the exclusions that apply.]
If we close
If we ever close the service, we will give you 12 months’ notice and a full export of your data.
Changes to these terms
We will tell you about material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
Law and disputes
[To be drafted with legal advice: governing law and how disputes are settled.]
